who am i?

who am i
to hold back
water from the thirsty,
food from the hungry,
truth from the seeking?

who am i
to keep silent,
to still my tongue
from proclaiming
that we have hope?

who am i
to not share good news
when it can bring back the lost,
and cause the angels in heaven to rejoice?

who am i
to not overflow with words
of thanksgiving and praise
for His mercy and grace?
